About us

About the Finance Run

The Finance Run is the networking event for everyone working in financial services. Every year we bring together more than 1,500 participants in an energetic environment where meeting, connecting and collaborating are key.

The strength of the Finance Run lies in its unique blend of athletic activity, genuine networking, and measurable social impact. Following the athletic portion of the program, there will be drinks and a delicious vegetarian dinner. Drankjes, eten, douches, garderobe, goede muziek, alles is volledig verzorgd.

Run, connect, make impact!

Our slogan says a lot about what we stand for:

Run – We offer an athletic challenge for all levels. We offer a 5 km, 10 km and 21.1 km run. We are committed to inclusivity. Therefore, we additionally offer a 5 km wheelchair accessible walking route. Our routes are professionally organized and always in an inspiring setting.

Connect – New connections naturally form before, during, and after sports activities. Thanks to its relaxed atmosphere, top-notch hospitality, and shared experience, it’s the perfect place to strengthen relationships and forge new connections.

Make an impact Through the Finance Run, we support charities dedicated to promoting financial self-reliance. In this way, we not only have a positive impact on the participants, but also on the young people and adults who, thanks to these charities, are looking forward to a better future.

Our mission and vision

Vitality and Employership

The world is changing, and the financial services industry is changing with it. Profit alone is no longer enough. People want to make a difference and achieve a better work-life balance. Employers contribute to this by creating a better, healthier work environment where people want to work. Terms such as inclusivity and vitality, as well as sustainability and vegetarianism, are part of that.

What we stand for

Among all sporting events, we are the employee sporting event for financial services where everyone can participate. We are at the forefront of sustainability and inclusiveness. We move financials together and provide ample opportunity for networking.

A contribution to charity

By participating in the Finance Run, you support a selection of charities. The Finance Run is also a commercial event of Free Style. Our goal is to provide a professional, high quality and impactful event for the financial sector while creating structural value for our charities. We therefore find it important to be transparent about which contribution the charities receive.

In addition to their team or entry fees, participants pay a mandatory contribution to the charities. This contribution goes directly to the selected charities. In addition, the Finance Run, together with its partners, generates substantial exposure and media coverage for the affiliated charities each year. In addition, over the years we have carried out various other projects to raise more donations, such as an auction.

The impact of the Finance Run

One of the first co-founders of the Finance Run was the LEF Foundation. For many years, it was the primary charity. In later editions, other charities dedicated to financial self-reliance have also been supported. Thanks to contributions from participants, partners, and media partners, the Finance Run has generated a total of over 1 million euros in value. This figure includes direct donations, media value, and exposure for the charities. In this way, we enhance their visibility, their financial strength, and, as a result, their social impact.

Fair rates

To ensure that our partners, sponsors, and charities agree with our financial policy, we have an indexation committee. It oversees the reasonableness of our indexation.
