About us

About the Finance Run

The Finance Run is the networking event for everyone working in financial services. Every year we bring together more than 1,500 participants in an energetic environment where meeting, connecting and collaborating are key.

The strength of the Finance Run lies in the special mix of sporting experience, real networking and measurable social impact. After the sporting part of the program there will be drinks and a delicious vegetarian dinner ready. Drinks, food, showers, wardrobe, good music, everything is fully taken care of.

Run, connect, make impact!

Our slogan says a lot about what we stand for:

Run – We offer an athletic challenge for all levels. We offer a 5 km, 10 km and 21.1 km run. We are committed to inclusivity. Therefore, we additionally offer a 5 km wheelchair accessible walking route. Our routes are professionally organized and always in an inspiring setting.

Connect – Before, during and after the sporting activities, new encounters naturally arise. Thanks to the relaxed atmosphere, high-quality hospitality and shared experience, it is the place to strengthen relationships and make new connections.

Make impact With the Finance Run, we support charities dedicated to promoting financial self-sufficiency. In this way, we not only have a positive impact on the participants, but also on the people, young and old, who will have a better future because of those charities.

Our mission and vision

Vitality and Employership

The world is changing and financial services are changing with it. Profit alone is no longer enough. People need to make an impact and have a better work-life balance. Employers contribute to this by creating a better, healthier work environment that people want to work (for). Terms like inclusiveness and vitality but also sustainability and vegetarianism are part of this.

What we stand for

Among all sporting events, we are the employee sporting event for financial services where everyone can participate. We are at the forefront of sustainability and inclusiveness. We move financials together and provide ample opportunity for networking.

A contribution to charity

By participating in the Finance Run, you support a selection of charities. The Finance Run is also a commercial event of Free Style. Our goal is to provide a professional, high quality and impactful event for the financial sector while creating structural value for our charities. We therefore find it important to be transparent about which contribution the charities receive.

Participants pay, in addition to their team or participation fees, a mandatory contribution to the charities. This contribution goes directly to the selected causes. In addition, the Finance Run together with their partners create substantial exposure and media reach for the member charities each year. We have also done several additional projects over the years to collect more donations, such as an auction.

The impact of the Finance Run

One of the first co-initiators of the Finance Run was the LEF Foundation. For many years, this was the primary charity. Subsequent editions have also supported other causes committed to financial self-sufficiency. Thanks to contributions from participants, partners and media partners, the Finance Run delivered a total value of more than 1 million euros . This adds up to direct donations, media value and exposure for the causes. With this, we strengthen their visibility, their financial clout and thus their social impact.

Fair rates

To ensure that our partners, sponsors, and charities agree with our financial policy, we have an indexation committee. It oversees the reasonableness of our indexation.
